“LIVE FOR LIFE”活動趣旨

人は、みんな生きるために生まれてくる。だけど、さまざまな困難に直面したとき、人は悲しみに打ちのめされ、絶望してしまう。しかし諦めないで欲しい。
希望を見失って立ち止まってしまってもいい。でも、ゆっくりでいいから、もう一度勇気をだして、前を向いて歩きだそう。だってあなたはその命を輝かせるために、生まれてきたのだから。私たちのこの思いを込めた言葉、それが“LIVE FOR LIFE”です。
“LIVE FOR LIFE”は、一人の歌手 本田美奈子.の生前の願いから生まれました。彼女は急性骨髄性白血病という難病と闘う中で、いろんな人達から励まされ、今まで感じてきた愛よりも、もっと深い愛を感じるようになりました。「生きるって素晴らしいな」とこころの底から思うようになりました。そして自分がこの難病を克服して再びステージに立って歌えば、同じ苦しみの中で闘っている人たちにエールを送ることができるとの思いで懸命に生きました。
本田美奈子．には、もう会うことはできません。しかし、彼女が残した『オモイ』は、今を生きる私たちが『カタチ』にしてゆかなければならない。私たちは“LIVE FOR LIFE”の活動を通して、命の尊さをすべての人々に伝えてゆこうと思います。この小さな活動がより多くの人を勇気づけ、生きる希望を与えられることを願って。

The Spirit of Action “LIVE FOR LIFE”

All people are brought to life to live. However when faced with difficulties, people lose hope and feel devastated. It is okay to stop and feel hopeless in times of trouble, but we must stand up again and slowly take a step forward. And remember − we were brought to this world to live and to shine. “LIVE FOR LIFE” is our “message for life” to you.

This action was inspired by the hope of Minako Honda, a singer who unfortunately is no longer with us. During her battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), she felt the deep love of those around her more profoundly than ever before. Struck by the deep meaning of life, she realized how beautiful it was to live. Because of this, she strongly hoped to conquer her disease so as to go back on stage to sing and to encourage other people who are fighting diseases.

Although her wish did not come true, her spirit touched our hearts deeply and our movement has begun. We must not forget the bright life Minako has brought to us, and turn her wish, which she never had the chance to achieve, into reality. We intend to take various actions under the slogan “LIVE FOR LIFE” to support people in their search for a brighter future whether they suffer from leukemia or any other disease.

We would like you to be part of “LIVE FOR LIFE” as a promoter to make our actions a global movement for people all over the world to remember the true meaning of life. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated.

LIVE FOR LIFE Activities

We are creating an organizational network which allows patients and their supporters to be able to respond to various problems and necessities they might have, by submitting reports and needs requirements to medical policy authorities. Donations to institutions studying leukemia are also a part of our activities. Some plans for concerts, CD’s, goods and book sales for the purpose of promoting closer relationships between leukemia patients and their supporters are underway.
